A special Sunday morning
The last Sunday of July was special at the Center. We gathered for a worship service and layed a special table for this occasion.
Thanks to our pastors Jony and Daniel, Christian programs are organised all throughout for the week for the refugees. They meet to pray, they meet to study the Bible (mostly based on oral presentation because of the high rate of illiteracy) and they meet to sing, worship God (very popular) and they meet to just talk.

We are so thankful for the Reformed Church of America who supported the full rebuild of our meeting tent which we can now (since beginning of July) use on Sundays. For this Sunday we decided to have a special occasion: celebrate God's love by taking part in the Lord's supper and have communion together.
Pastor Jony led worship, director Abel Kiss preached (John 8:1-11) and pastor Daniel talked about what it means to take part in the Lord's communion. It is such a special opportunity to connect with God and with each other and remember and experience in our bodies what Jesus did for us.

This service was also special because baby Justin was introduced and blessed in front of the church by lead pastor Daniel. The mother was 7 month pregnent when they had to flee Ukraine.

Children led by one of the refugee grandmothers were prepared to sing worship songs and tell Bible verses at the end of the service. We closed this special event with staying together for a coffee and a cookie, this was the first time we had some snacks organised for after the service to stay together and just talk and connect.
