Mental health
Above the physical needs we wish to attend to the mental and spiritual needs of the refugees. They have post-traumatic stress so they are dealing with a kind of anxiety at different levels. We wish to help them communicate their needs, name their emotions and find rest in a more hopeful future.

Teachers help kids with sports, games and fun ways of learning (including English and Hungarian languages) and with the cooperation of psychologists and therapists we are able to assist children and their parents in individual or group sessions where they can be heard and listened to.

This is Kamilla 7 from Beregszász, a Hungarian-speaking community. Arrived to Dorcas on 7th April with three siblings. She has speech disabilities, also she is behind with physical movement and has learning problems.
We are trying to help her catch up and develop through games and crafts.
